About STAC
STAC started with young refugees in Kyangwali Settlement putting faith into action, serving the community we're part of, with whatever we have. We're not a big organization. We're just getting started, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
Who We Are
STAC was started by young refugees living in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement, Kikuube District, Western Uganda, people who know this community because we live in it. We're registered with the Government of Uganda, but we're still very much at the beginning: a small, youth-led team putting faith into action with whatever we have, across eight areas we hope to grow into.
Our motto, "Faith without actions is dead" (James 2:26), guides every program and initiative we undertake.

Rooted in Kyangwali
Kyangwali Refugee Settlement is home to tens of thousands of people carrying deep spiritual, emotional, and economic wounds from displacement; and it's home to us too.
The people you see in our photos aren't outside visitors, they're STAC's own leaders and volunteers, refugees ourselves, serving the neighbors we live alongside every day. We don't have much yet, but we show up: worshiping, listening, praying, and helping however we honestly can.

What we do, and what we plan
We have set out several departments. Only some of them are running. The rest are plans that need people, materials or funding before we can begin. We would rather say that plainly than let a list of departments suggest we are bigger than we are.

STAC isn't run by outsiders. Our leaders and volunteers are refugees from this same settlement, serving neighbors they know personally.
Every Bit Helps, Honestly
We don't have big budgets or infrastructure. A small gift genuinely changes what we're able to do this month; not just in theory.
Faith in Action, Not Just Words
Whatever we have, we use: evangelism, prayer, showing up for families in hardship. We grow only as far as our resources and your support let us.
