Livelihood & Economic Empowerment

Building skills and self-reliance, step by step

About this department

Livelihood and Economic Empowerment reflects our hope of helping people move beyond immediate hardship toward greater self-reliance. Right now, that means practical financial education, responsible money management, entrepreneurship awareness, and skills development. In the future, we hope to support savings groups, income-generating activities, agriculture, small businesses, market connections, and appropriate financial opportunities as partnerships and resources grow.

Who We Serve

Vulnerable people, young people, and families in our community who want to build practical skills and move toward greater self-reliance, starting with financial education and entrepreneurship learning, with larger livelihood support to develop over time.

What we are aiming for

To help vulnerable people develop practical skills, make wiser financial decisions, pursue sustainable livelihoods, and build greater economic independence.

Where this stands: Planned

We have not started this yet. It is part of what we hope to build, and it needs support to begin.

What we plan to do

  • Financial literacy and responsible money management
  • Budgeting, saving, and financial planning education
  • Entrepreneurship and small-business awareness
  • Vocational and practical skills development
  • Youth entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Future savings and self-reliance groups
  • Future income-generating and livelihood projects
  • Future partnerships connecting people with markets and opportunities

How you can help

This work cannot begin until we have some of the following.

  • Trainers in practical and business skills
  • Partners who could fund savings groups or small starter projects
  • Connections to markets where people can sell what they make
